Eau de Nuit Oud is a deep, rich, opulent and enigmatic fragrance that mirrors the otherwordly Cambodian Oud with leather facets that is characteristic of that type. A touch of Tonka, Rose, cardamom and Iris ads sophistication and sensuality
This discontinued masterpiece is a honey-colored scent with notes of amber, labdanum, vanilla, honey, African incense, guaiac wood, and cedar. It's known for it's brash and forceful attitude, while others describe it as creamy with a rich vanilla tempered by it's woody and smoky facets.
An androgynous composition, centered around vanilla, as dense and crisp as finely milled powder or lacquered satin. Crafted akin to a perfectly fitted dinner jacket, cedar and tree moss lend structure to its allure, while the powdery caress of orris gently envelops body and mind.
bases
Ambergris, or " gray amber " as its name denotes, is simply and only a portion of the excreta of the sperm whale, Physeter macrocephalus, resulting from disease. It is considered to be a result of a morbid secretion of the whale's liver, and is probably produced also by other oceanic mammalia.
Wild-harvested supplies are extremely rare,so ambergris tends to be created synthetically. This incredible professional base is the best in the market. Almost a fragrance by itself this base has amazing fixative power, enhancing and anchoring the more volatile ingredients in the formula, and rounding them out.
This powerful, bright, dry, woody, amber-resinous aroma chemical with a floral note of lily has been recently banned. This replacement brings all the amazing qualities of the proscribed material.
This is the archetypal “amber” of perfumery. A masterwork of balance, good structure, and simplicity was created in the 20’s by the French company De Laire and modernized in this iteration. The Original Ambre 83 had a solid appearance and contained Nitromusk like Musk Ambrette, now banned.
Its scent is a combination of the sweetness of vanilla, labdanum resin with the addition of animalic and musky . A very satisfying, soft and rich base.
As Brazilian Rosewood becomes more scarce, this formula offers a better and more sophisticated solution than replacing Rosewood with Linalool as many perfumers do these days. We use a blend of Rosewood Leaf oil and Ho Wood with touches of other materials that bring out the earthy beauty of Rosewood and help us achieve a similar profile than the wood extraction.
Pear offers a crisp and clean note, subtle, green, and juicy. Naturally predisposed to blend well with white florals and also add a subtle gourmand note neither cloying nor overtly sweet. This base is used by the big houses and it has been modified to replace captives. It’s outstandingly diffusive, realistic, and succulent. Please allow this base to settle for at least two weeks.
The common gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides) has highly fragrant white flowers. The opening buds smell slightly green and piquant in the evening because of the salicylate aspect. The flowers also smell creamy, recalling coconut and peach skin. There is an unmistakably heady indolic element of jasmine. In ripe blooms, they have a sharp green ‘mushroom’ overtones. Gardenias also share some aspects with Lily, Lily of the Valley, Ylang Ylang, and a bit of Rose.
Kagoshima Black Tea grows in volcanic soil, this tea has very low astringency and a velvety smooth character. This sweet and mellow base captures the magic of black tea.
